WASHINGTON D.C.- January 5, 2017— Today, Congressman Scott Taylor voted to condemn the recent United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 declaring Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem as an occupation of Palestinian land. The House passed H.Res. 11, a bipartisan resolution introduced by the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.  Congressman Taylor stood steadfastly with Israel and was a co-sponsor of the resolution.

Congressman Taylor had this to say about the resolution: “I recently visited Israel and walked along the West Bank, and being there made the situation much clearer. I stand with Israel and join my Democrat and Republican colleagues in condemning the cowardly actions of the United Nations. The Middle-East is in turmoil. Islamic terrorism, religious feuds and civil war are the news of the day; except in Israel. Women, religious minorities, and LGBT folks would absolutely not have equal rights in a Palestinian country.  I am proud to support Israel and this resolution.”
