Congressman Scott Taylor Strongly Supports Legislation to Limit Executive Regulatory Over-Reach

WASHINGTON D.C.- January 5, 2017— Today, Congressman Scott Taylor announced his strong support of the REINS Act. The REINS Act, which stands for Regulations From the Executive In Need of Scrutiny, puts limitations on Executive Branch over-reach by requiring federal agencies to go through Congress if there is a fiscal impact of more than $100 million dollars per year on the economy.

Congressman Taylor had this to say about the REINS Act: “Throughout our campaign we spoke about the need to get the federal government back to a constitutional balance of powers. The time is now. The REINS Act is a big picture movement in that direction. There must be oversight provided by the people’s elected representatives over burdensome regulations written by Washington bureaucrats that affect our daily lives.”
