Rep. Scott Taylor Supports FY 2017 Budget Resolution
WASHINGTON D.C.- January 13, 2017— Today, Rep. Scott Taylor announced his support of the Fiscal Year 2017 budget which paves the way for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act through a budget process called reconciliation.
Rep. Taylor had this to say about the budget resolution: “There is nothing affordable about the Affordable Care Act. Year after year the cost of healthcare goes up for everyday people, there is less choice and deductibles on the most basic of plans are unreachable. A bronze plan has an average deductible of $12,000. Clearly, most families, who may have the illusion of coverage, can’t afford the deductible. I support this budget resolution to open the process to move to a patient focused system and start to rein in the cost of healthcare.”
