Congressman Taylor Accepting Submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dave Taylor’s office is inviting high school artists to showcase their artistic talents in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. Held each spring, the competition provides high school students from across the nation the opportunity to represent their Congressional District. One winner from each district will earn a trip to Washington, D.C., and have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

“Southern Ohio is home to so many incredible young artists who bring their unique perspective to life on the canvas,” said Congressman Taylor. “Last year, I was inspired by the talent, imagination, and dedication of students across our district. I look forward to witnessing the creativity of Buckeye students again this year and can’t wait to see what they will make!”
Since its inception, over 650,000 high school students have participated in this competition, inspiring creativity and fostering greater involvement in the arts.
High school students residing in Ohio’s Second Congressional District are eligible to submit one original piece of art to Congressman Taylor’s office. Submissions may be made at the Union Township or Peebles offices by April 17, 2026. The 2026 Rules and Regulations for students and teachers are available here.
