WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dave Taylor (OH-02) voted this evening to reopen the federal government and end the 43-day federal government shutdown, which was the longest in American history. This vote on the Continuing Resolution, H.R. 5371, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 222-209 following its Senate passage on November 10th by a vote of 60-40.

This bill would make defrauding the United States or unlawfully obtaining benefits intended for U.S. taxpayers deportable offenses and grounds for inadmissibility under the Immigration and Nationality Act.

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO – Congressman Dave Taylor (OH-02) today joined Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH), Ross County Commissioner David Glass, Former Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Robin Bernstein, Co-Owner John Todoroki, and local leaders at the Pixelle Paper Mill site to announce its sale to the U.S. Paper Mill Company LLC, with the U.S. Medical Glove Company (USMGC) beginning operations as the incoming tenant.
